Duplex Stainless Steel is used in numerous applications where corrosion resistance is necessary, nuts are frequently used in the chemical processing and oil & gas industries, and these sorts of fasteners are in high demand. Both their yield strength and corrosion resistance are good. Duplex Steel Nuts are also appropriate for usage in a marine environment. They are produced in a range of sizes and forms, which gives them a lot of versatility. Pump shafts, pipelines, pressure vessel tanks, and seawater equipment are some examples of typical applications.

What is Duplex Steel?
Duplex steel is a stainless steel material. The combined microstructure gives the name ” duplex ” because it contains approximately appropriate portions of ferrite and austenite. This grade is the best-known variety, and this two-phase material significantly improves yield strength and corrosion resistance. Duplex stainless steels are approximately twice as strong as conventional austenitic or ferritic stainless steels. In addition, the Duplex steels have higher chromium content, 20-28%; higher molybdenum, up to 5%; lower nickel, up to 9% and 0.05-0.50% nitrogen.
Characteristics of Duplex Steel Nuts:
Duplex Steel Nuts are characterized by their high yield strength, twice the annealed yield strength of typical austenitic stainless steels. These nuts have enhanced tensile strength and yielding strength. These nuts are durable and can bear heavy haulage.
It has impressive resistance to environmental corrosion, general corrosion & cracking, and pitting resistance. These nuts are prone to stress-corrosion cracking, crevice corrosion, erosion, and general corrosion, because of which Duplex steel nuts are regularly utilized in many industries.
Uses of Duplex Steel Nuts:
The improved corrosion resistance of these nuts is suitable for applications like the power, marine, and seawater industries. They are used in a wide range of equipment like flow lines and manifolds and pumps of oil and gas processing plants, pressure vessels and heat exchangers, agitators, distillation columns, and condensers of the chemical processing industry. They are also used in desalination plants and wastewater treatments. These nuts are used in biogas tanks. They are also used in the pharmaceutical, petrochemical, paper, and pulp industries.
